Prototype Design for Account Management

As a library librarian, I would like to see a prototype account management interface that makes it easy to search, create, activate, edit or delete user accounts. This will allow me to quickly process user information and ensure the smooth running of library services.

  • Provide a search bar that will allow me to quickly find user accounts by username, email, or other key information. Search results should be displayed instantly and include basic information about the user, such as name, account status, and registration date.
  • Display a list of users with action buttons next to each user, including "Edit", "Activate/Disable" and "Delete". Actions should be easy to access and the function of each button should be clear to avoid misuse.
  • Provide a clear "Create New Account" button which, when clicked, brings up a pop-up form that requires the entry of the necessary user information, such as name, email address, password, etc. After creating an account, an option is provided to activate the account immediately or leave it for review.
  • The "Edit" button next to each user entry, when clicked, displays a form that allows the administrator to modify the user's details. The form should include all relevant fields such as contact details, role permissions etc. for quick updates.
  • Provide an option to delete an account, but there should be a confirmation step before performing the delete operation to prevent accidental deletion of important accounts. Deletion operations should be logged for tracking and auditing purposes.
  • The interface should be clean, intuitive, and operate logically to enhance the user experience. Use modern design elements and colours to enhance visual appeal and match the library's brand image.
