Receive Feedback

User Story:

As a student, I want to receive feedback on my assessments, so that I can see my strengths and weaknesses and know on which areas I need to improve.

Given the teacher has provided feedback on my assessment, when I click on ‘feedback’, then the system will provide me with the teacher’s feedback in an appropriate format.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • When I click on the ‘feedback’ button associated with a completed assessment, the system will display the teacher’s general feedback for that assessment in a clear and readable format.
  • When I click on ‘view all assessments’, the system will display a table summarizing all my assessments, including the assessment title, submission date, marks received, and a brief status (e.g., "Graded," "Pending"). Each assessment entry will have a button or link to access detailed feedback.

Detailed Feedback:

  • When I click on ‘detailed feedback’ for a specific assessment, the system will present my submitted answers alongside the teacher's corresponding feedback for each question or section.
  • The system will highlight or visually differentiate the teacher's feedback from my original answers.
  • The system should support various feedback formats, including text, annotations, and charts/diagrams.
  • If the teacher has provided rubric feedback, the rubric should be displayed with the points earned for each criteria.

Feedback Summary:

  • When I click on ‘feedback summary’ for a specific assessment, the system will display the teacher's overall written summary of my performance, including key strengths and areas for improvement.
  • This summary should provide a holistic view of my performance and offer actionable suggestions for future learning.

Navigation and Organization:

  • The system will provide clear navigation options to easily switch between different assessment feedback views.
  • The feedback will be organized logically, making it easy to find specific feedback points.
  • The system will display the date of the feedback given by the teacher.

Accessibility:

  • The feedback display will be accessible to students with disabilities, adhering to accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG).
  • The font size will be adjustable.
  • The contrast between background and foreground colours will be sufficient.
